About 140 people attended the benefit dinner concert for the Fifth Ward Saints North at Ernie Found's farm on August 24. The event raised about $8000 through the live auction, silent auction, and good will donations. Thanks to all involved in organizing the event and for those making generous donations.
Welcome
MUSIC WITH A MISSION!
Hello from our Iowa City-based band. We are a fun filled, mixed generational group, playing Bluesy Rock and Roll and Rockabilly, mostly in support of non-profit organizations who are helping the less fortunate in society. We play a mix of tunes: from classics by the likes of Johnny Cash, Stray Cats, Keb Mo, LIttle Walter, and, Eric Clapton, to current bands such as Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Kaleo, and JJ Grey and Mofro as well as some original songs. We love all kinds of music, thus we have chosen to play this variety that respects the roots a of the blues while introducing our audiences to some new music to which they might not be familiar. We use our music to also give back for all of the blessings we have had in life. Please let us know if you have a fundraiser in the Iowa City area that would benefit from having live music.
