Thanks for helping the food banks!

Thank you to the 250 people who participated in the brisk 5K Fun Run/Walk/Crawl at the Walker Homestead, Sunday morning Nov 14. Over $14,000 was raised for the Coralville and North Liberty Food Banks, just in time for the holidays. Additional donations can be made at: https://www.coralvillefoodpantry.org/give; https://northlibertycommunitypantry.org/donor/donate-now/.

Suicide Awareness/Prevention Benefit Gig Successful

On Saturday evening Sept 18, about 100 people came out to Wilson's Orchard on a beautiful evening to enjoy the company of friends, listen to music and kick off the Jenifer (Dr. Jen) Wolfe Memorial Funding Campaign, an effort by the UI College of Dentistry and the Department of Pediatric Dentistry to support the College’s suicide prevention program in memory of a member of the Class of 2001. In addition, a small portion of these funds will be used to provide dental care to disadvantaged children. For more information and to contribute, please visit the funding campaign’s website:https://uigoldrush.org/drjen. A special thank you to Wilson's for hosting the event. Special night for a special cause.

Help Craft Brewery Workers Who've Lost Jobs

HomeBrewed is co-sponsoring the "Socially Distant Beer Festival", a fundraiser for the 450 people who have lost their jobs at craft breweries and tap rooms in Iowa.
It's tough duty but I know you are up to it:
1. Buy a $5 ticket: https://www.virtualbeerfest.org/tickets
2. Pick up some of your favorite craft beer
3. Join others on Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram on Saturday, March 28, so we can drink beer together (from a safe distance), with the help of our hashtag, #virtualbeerfest

If you are outside Iowa, please support the employees at your local craft breweries and tap rooms.

If you aren't a big craft beer fan, please find another group that you can assist during these challenging times.

While there lots of folks are in need, this is a small, low-cost way of helping those who have provided we craft beer fans with a small piece of liquid joy.

Thanks for helping our friends and neighbors far and near.

Please support your local non-profits

During this time when we are unable to do benefit gigs, we would like to encourage you to consider donating to worthwhile charitable organizations in your area.

A few that we would like to suggest you consider are:

1) Domestic Violence intervention program (DVIP

2) CommUnity Food Bank

3) Shelter House for the Homeless

All are trying to help the less fortunate during these trying times.

Please be safe and stay well physically and emotionally!

MLK Work Day Celebration

HomeBrewed was honored to be invited to play for the 2020 MLK work day celebration at Mercer Park in Iowa City. We played our original tribute song to Dr King, called Spirit of Hope, which speaks to what need in these divided times. Thank you MLK organizers!

Shelter House BBQ Bash was a blast

HomeBrewed appreciated the opportunity to play in support of the great work of the Shelter House and their great work for the homeless.

The 3-400 in attendance enjoyed great BBQ pork, community and seemed to really enjoy the music!
